A day after the deadly attack in Hroza, Humanitarian Coordinator for Ukraine Denise Brown, today (06 Oct) headed a UN interagency mission to visit the community and bring urgently needed medical and infrastructural supplies.

She said, “these are barbaric consequences of this war, that 20 percent of the community can be wiped out in seconds, while people are shopping, while people are sitting having a coffee with their loved ones.”

The coordinator said, “This is a remote community. This is civilian infrastructure. Those were civilians.”

Brown concluded, “that amounts to a violation, a grave violation of international humanitarian law.”
