2. SOUNDBITE (English) Robb Butler, Special Envoy to the Regional Director, Regional Office for Europe, World Health Organization (WHO):
“We're here at the National Burn Center in Yerevan. Absolutely heartbreaking scenes. We have 80 beds. They're full to capacity of burns victims. We're doing our best from WHO to bring in burn kits in the next 24-48 hours. We've also reached out to some very supportive member states, Belgium, Israel, Lebanon amongst them, who are going to bring in burn specialists to support the needs here. There is, of course, a dire need also for rehabilitation in the medium and longer term, and that's something we're also gauging how we can support as we move forward.”
