The United Nations LGBTI Core Group is an informal cross regional group of United Nations Member States. Since its establishment in 2008, the LGBTI Core Group has grown to six times its original size.
For his part, Santiago Cafiero, Argentinian Minister of Foreign Affairs said, “the anti-gender and anti-trans movement tries to erode progress.”
He added, “it is now more necessary than ever to uphold the basic principle of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and right.”
