Speaking to reporters today (30 Aug) in New York, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said that the Secretary-General noted with “deep concern” the announcement of the election results amidst reports of serious infringements of fundamental freedoms.
The Secretary-General also reaffirmed his strong opposition to military coups, the Spokesperson added.
