“We find unacceptable this arbitrary world order, in which there are third and fourth category countries, while those who believe themselves civilized do not tire of making invasions, wars, financial speculations and crucifying us with their inflation again and again.”

8. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, President, Honduras:
“For Honduras, every caravan of migrants fleeing the dictatorship that has been mounted for more than a decade is a heavy loss for our country and their families. The numbers tell us that this process of exodus caused by neoliberal injustice generates more unemployment and ties us to an undesirable dependence. In our country paradoxically, emigrants generate more foreign exchange income than many of the traditional exports.”
