STORYLINE
As humanitarian needs continue to rise around the world, the United Nations and partners launch on 2 December the Global Humanitarian Overview, their annual assessment and plan for how to alleviate the suffering in 2022.

Climate change, conflict, political instability and the pandemic continue to be the main drivers of humanitarian crises as aid organisations seek access to people in need and international funding to pay for the life-saving interventions.

The GHO launch is hosted in Geneva by UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths with subsequent presentations in Berlin, Brussels, London, Stockholm and Washington, D.C.
