Speaking to reporters today (15 Jul) in New York, UN spokesperson Eri Kaneko said The Secretary-General and his Special Coordinator, Ms. Joanna Wronecka, “will continue to closely engage with relevant stakeholders to support Lebanon and its people.”

According to media reports, Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri said on Thursday that he was stepping down after failing to form a government for nearly nine month.
