Description
What does it take to dismantle a 2,000-pound aerial bomb? A team from the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) visited a UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) project in Gaza to get a closer look at the unearthing of a deeply buried aerial bomb and what it takes to work as a bomb disposal expert. Since 2014, UNMAS has removed and destroyed 149 aircraft bombs in Gaza. UNMAS ensures an effective and coordinated response to the problems of landmines, explosive remnants of war and cluster munitions in some of the most challenging environments around the world.
