UN, Russia and US Hold Talks on Syria in Geneva
Talks were held in Geneva between senior UN officials, led by Lakhdar Brahimi, Joint Special Representative of the UN and the League of Arab States for Syria, and counterparts from the United States and the Russian Federation, on the convening of an international conference on Syria. Mr. Brahimi told reporters afterwards that further steps would have to be taken and it would not be possible to hold such a conference this month.
