United Task Force Transfers Operational Authority to Second United Nations Operation in Somalia (UNOSOM II)
At a ceremony held today in Mogadishu, operational authority was transferred from the United Task Force (UNITAF), which was spearheaded by the United States, to the Second United Nations Operation in Somalia (UNOSOM II).
