Following September’s security incidents in Northern Kosovo, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Kosovo, Caroline Ziadeh, warned the Security Council today that the situation “exacerbated an already deteriorating security environment”. UNIFEED

Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan said that the danger of war in his country is now a threat to regional and international peace and security, adding, “this is like the spark of war, a war that spillover to other countries in the region.” UNIFEED

The United Nations top official for Europe, Central Asia and Americas told the Security Council that the UN is calling for “a credible and durable cessation of all hostilities” between Armenia and Azerbaijan. UNIFEED
