Candidate: Christiana Figueres, former Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). She has been nominated by the Government of Costa Rica.

As part of the informal dialogues the General Assembly is holding for candidates for the position of the next Secretary-General of the United Nations.
