Updating reporters on Peace Operations, a UN spokesperson said that in Lebanon a peacekeeper was injured on 12 November, adding that in Mali, the troops from Chad who withdrew from mission’s base in Kidal have now departed the country using routes by road and by air. UNIFEED

A senior official at the Economic and Social Commission for West Asia said, “In just over four weeks, the number of children killed in Gaza, which is about 4,300 people, has surpassed the total number of children lost to armed conflict in 22 countries any year since 2020.” UNIFEED

After UN Security Council close consultations on the situation in Gaza, French Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière told reporters that his country is “deeply concerned at the number of civilian casualties in Gaza, which stands at several thousands,” and announced an "international humanitarian conference for the people of Gaza on November 9th in Paris."
