"BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA"

A top UN official for Europe, Central Asia and Americas said, “Amidst global challenges and crises, the international community must sustain its focus on Ukraine and end the suffering caused by this war.” UNIFEED

Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution to renew the mandate of the EU-led multinational stabilization force EUFOR-Althea, operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for another year. UNIFEED

A top UN humanitarian official said, “while much of the international attention is rightly concentrated on the grave events in the Middle East, it is important that we do not lose focus on other crises, particularly the war in Ukraine, which continues to inflict unimaginable levels of suffering.” UNIFEED

Briefing the Security Council on the situation in Ukraine, the Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, said, “Residents of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Lviv, Sumy, Donetsk, Odesa, Kyiv, and other regions continued to face unrelenting and often indiscriminate attacks.” UNIFEED

The president of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, told the General Assembly that his country will actively work on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, and building trust and solidarity. UNIFEED

Under Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, told the Security Council that “some estimates put the total number of killed, civilians and military personnel of both sides, at half a million.” UNIFEED
