The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, told the Security Council that thirteen years after the 2011 revolution in the country, “Libyans are still waiting to realize their aspirations for sustainable peace and democracy.” UNIFEED

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, told the Security Council that “for the first time since the elections failed in December 2021, Libya has now a constitutional and legal framework for elections in place,” and urged stakeholders “to build on this important achievement.” UNIFEED
