UN chief António Guterres told the Security Council, “international cooperation is the first priority of our counter-terrorist strategy. No single country or organization has all the answers to the cross-border challenges posed by terrorism and by returning and relocating foreign terrorist fighters.” UNIFEED

The General Assembly adopted 10 resolutions encouraging stronger ties between regional organizations and the United Nations, at the 48th meeting of the 71st session.

A new UN report released today said that large economies in developing countries - mainly China, Brazil and India -continue to lead the global recovery, amid weaker performances in relatively richer nations, where concerns over huge public debt have led to austerity measures that have dampened growth prospects.
