“We're not doing enough. So, the problem is that we're going to cross 1.5°C, the Paris Agreement goal in the next decade, and we're going to likely go beyond that, hit 2.7°C or 3°C under current pledges and pledging scenarios.”

Zinta Zommers, Climate science and Practice lead at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said, “At COP this year, it's likely to be an announcement, or the world hopes that there will be an announcement, about a new loss and damage fund which can impact our work as well.
