Description
The President of the General Assembly, Csaba Kőrösi, is in Kuwait.

Yesterday, the President visited an UNRWA facility, as I mentioned.

Back here in New York…

The President participated via pre-recorded message in the 8th annual multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals.

And on this topic, a reminder that on 8 and 9 May, there will be multi-stakeholder hearings on the topics of universal health coverage, the fight against tuberculosis, and pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.

Today is World Press Freedom Day.

You now have a copy of the joint statement by President Kőrösi; President of UNESCO General Conference Santiago Irazabal Mourão; President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council Lachezara Stoeva; and the President of the United Nations Human Rights Council Václav Bálek.

Turning to Security Council reform…

Tomorrow, there will be an informal meeting of the intergovernmental negotiations on the question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the security Council and other matters related to the Council.

Those will start at 10AM in Conference Room 2.

And we wanted to highlight the Missions of the Dominican Republic, of Netherlands, and of Rwanda for joining the President’s call.
