Today, in Montreal, in a press conference on the sidelines of COP15, the Secretary-General reiterated the urgent need to address biodiversity. 

This morning, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Sudan and Head of the UN Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS), Volker Perthes, briefed Council members.
