“Israel is enacting racist laws, consecrating an apartheid regime. Yes, apartheid, and if they do not like the appellation, this is the truth. They are an apartheid regime. 6. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mahmoud Abbas, President, State of Palestine:
“Israel did not leave us any land on which we can establish our independent state in the frame of its frantic settlement expansion. Where will our people live in freedom and dignity? Where can we build our independent state that will live in peace with its neighbours? We want to live in peace with them. With them. With Israel. Where will we establish our independent state to live?”

8. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mahmoud Abbas, President, State of Palestine:
“Israel is telling the Palestinian people, either you demolish your house, or I will demolish it myself. This is what is taking place. I have to demolish my house, or they demolish my house, and they make me pay for it.”
