Preview Language:

Description
Until 1813 the temples were buried beneath the sand. They emerged to become an archeological and artistic marvel of ancient Nubia. To lift this vast structure to a new resting place (and to rescue many other Nubian treasures threatened with inundation) needed an international effort. The programme shows how UNESCO helped mobilize the resources to do the Job.
