STORYLINE:
The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) said winter storms in the Middle East are worsening hardship for millions of refugees and internally displaced people.
A storm hit Lebanon on 16 February bringing with it freezing temperatures, heavy rains, snow, and strong winds. Refugees were particularly affected by the storm, which resulted in leakages, floods, and collapsed shelters.
Following the snowstorm, over 70 informal settlements across the Bekaa Valley have been affected either by snow accumulation or tent leakage.
