On the eve of the presidential election in Côte d'Ivoire, the Secretary-General calls on all Ivorians to ensure that the polls are conducted in a peaceful manner.
In Central African Republic, today, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, wrapped up a three-day visit to the country, as part of a joint mission with Smaїl Chergui, the African Union Commission Peace and Security Commissioner, as well as the President of the Economic Community of Central African States Commission (ECCAS), Gilberto Da Piedade Veríssimo.
