Ambassador Anatolio Ndong Mba, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea to the United Nations, answered press questions today (15 Aug) on the situation in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

He said Equatorial Guinea this month marked 40 years of its government by issuing a communique pledging to forge a new era based on morality and trust.

Asked about corruption and the human rights record, he said the country was not perfect. “I think if you look at the record of all the countries, Equatorial Guinea is not the worst of the worst.”
