Lyonchoen Jigmi Yoezer Thinley, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan, is interviewed for the UN’s news outlets, on the high-level meeting his Government convened in the General Assembly on 2 April 2012 on “Happiness and Well-being: Defining a New Economic Paradigm”. Bhutan is the originator of the “gross national happiness” (GNH) concept, a measure of the general well-being of a country through criteria such as physical, social and environmental health.
