The Co-Chairs of the High-level Panel on Global Sustainability will hold an interactive dialogue with UN Member States at the invitation of the President of the General Assembly in the ECOSOC conference room. Background: Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched the High-level Panel on Global Sustainability in August 2010. The Panel consists of 22 authoritative world figures who have been asked to 'reflect on and fomulate a new vision for sustainable growth and prosperity, along with mechanisms for achieving it'. Their final report will be issued by the end of 2011 and will feed into relevant intergovernmental discussions such as the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio 2012).
