REPUBLIC OF CONGO / CHOLERA

In June last year, a cholera outbreak in the northern Democratic Republic of Congo spread across the river into neighboring Republic of Congo. But despite interventions throughout the affected areas, the threat remains. So far over 700 cases of cholera and more than 30 deaths have been reported. The Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has now committed $9 million dollars to the cholera response in the DRC. CERF
