STORYLINE:
As Copenhagen gets ready to receive world leaders and delegations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) next week, a group of young people from 44 different countries were already debating the future of the planet.
Over the weekend (29 Nov) the official Children’s Climate Forum organized by UNICEF and the city of Copenhagen aimed to give children from both developing and industrialized countries a voice and a chance to influence the important agreement to be decided.
Fifteen-year-old Axam is from Maldives, a country most vulnerable in the face of climate change. He says using powerful argument is the only way to persuade world leaders to take action.

Reaching a climate change solution in the face of powerful opposing forces is unquestionably a great challenge. But young people from around the world are determined to push for more measures.

Youth powered solutions to fight climate change will come in the form of a declaration that will be presented at the forum closing session.
