The Global Polio Eradication Initiative joins India and the global community in celebrating a historic global health milestone: three years have passed since India's last case of wild polio. Pending final clearance of December and January laboratory samples, the Regional Certification Commission is expected to certify the entire South-East Asia Region of the World Health Organization as polio-free in March.
