The UN's children agency UNICEF reported Tuesday that the number of children in Syria requiring assistance this winter had skyrocketed to over 4 million. Last winter brought the coldest temperatures in more than a decade and UNICEF is warning that exposure to similarly cold and wet conditions will place further strain on the health and wellbeing of displaced Syrian children.
