It’s predicted that by 2020 chocolate companies will be short of 1 million tons of cocoa. One solution from the world's second largest chocolate company, Mars Inc. has been to invest directly in small coca farmers in developing countries. Mars has teamed up with IFAD to provide cocoa farmers with training in new production techniques.
