The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, a non-governmental organization that has been working for over 30 years to locate the families of children kidnapped and “disappeared” during the military dictatorship in Argentina, received the 2010 Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize at UNESCO headquarters today in the presence of the Argentina’s President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, President of Côte d’Ivoire Alassane Dramane Ouattara and several other Heads of State or Government.
