A fact finding mission was dispatched to the locality of Mutongo, in the North Kivu Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to investigate allegations of Human Rights violations, including 42 alleged rapes, mass and arbitrary killings and internal displacements committed by elements of the armed group Alliance des Patriotes pour un Congo Libre et Souverain (MM APCLS) in the aftermath of clashes with another armed group, the MM Cheka.
