UNICEF is working in 15 African countries to drive out polio through an immunization campaign reaching 72 million children. In Angola, where polio was on the brink of eradication by the end of 2004, a sudden outbreak in 2005 has now burdened the country with the biggest caseload of infections in the entire continent.
