Guyana: Loggers Learn About HIV/AIDS Protection

Thirty years after the first case of HIV/AIDS was reported, the battle against HIV/AIDS stigma continues to be a key challenge. In Guyana, the International Labour Organization, ILO, is partnering with the Government, employers and workers organizations to develop workplace prevention programs on HIV and AIDS. These services are reaching out to loggers working deep in the forest, including sensitizing workers to avoid discrimination against HIV positive peers.
