A special call from United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director-General Irina Bokova to end distruction and protect our shared heritage now.

UNESCO actively alerts the international community to the risk of illicit trafficking of cultural property in Syria throughout the conflict. World Humanitarian Day 2013 - featuring Beyonce and Kid President
(2'55", 2013 )

World Humanitarian Day2013 marks 10 years since the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad was bombed and 22 UN and aid agency workers were killed, including the then Special Representative of the Secretary-General to Iraq, Sérgio Vieira de Mello.

Every year, the humanitarian community pauses on to remember all aid workers who have lost their lives, including the dozens who have died this year. But the day is also a chance to celebrate the spiritthatinspires humanitarian work around the world.

This year the UN and the global humanitarian community are launching a ground-breaking campaign called The World Needs More… At the heart of this campaign is a first-of-its-kind project that aims to turn words into real assistance for people affected by crises.

We are asking private-sector companies and philanthropists tosponsor a word the world could use more of. People can then “unlock” money pledged by sponsors by sharing these words through social media and SMS.

'ENOUGH.' Syria Crisis Appeal
PSA (30", 2013 )

Enough. Enough. After more than two years of conflict, and more than 70 thousand deaths including thousands of children, after more than 5 million people have been forced to leave their homes, including over a million refugees, living in severely stressed neighboring countries, after so many families torn apart and communities razed, schools and hospitals wrecked and water systems ruined, after all this, there still seems an insufficient sense of urgency among the governments and parties that could put a stop to the cruelty and carnage in Syria.

ENDFRAME: #syriacrisis. Enough.

BREAK THE SILENCE ON HIV/AIDS (Women)  PSA (60", 2009)

AIDS and sexuality remain a major taboo in many Islamic counties. According to the 2008 UNAIDS report, Sudan has the highest HIV epidemic infection in the Middle-East and North Africa, with up to 420,000 people living with the disease.
