Egyptian and Israeli Generals Confer at Kilometer 101
Military representatives of Egypt and Israel held a three-hour meeting today in the United Nations tent at Kilometer 101, on the Cairo-Suez road. The commander of the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF), Lieutenant General Ensio Siilasvuo, chaired the meeting. The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian armed forces, Major General Mohamed Abdul Ghany El-Gamasy, was assisted by three aides, while the Chief of Staff of the Israeli armed forces, Lieutenant General David Elazar, was assisted by four aides.
