Assembly Launches International Year of Quinoa
President Evo Morales Ayma of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and First Lady Nadine Heredia Alarcón de Humala of Peru, who have been named Special Ambassadors of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) for the International Year of Quinoa, were recognized for their contributions during a special ceremony at the conclusion of the General Assembly’s meeting to launch the Year.
