MINUSTAH Observes Third Anniversary of Haiti Earthquake
The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) paid tribute to its 102 staff members who died during the earthquake which struck Haiti on 12 January 2010, killing some 220,000 people and making 1.5 million others homeless, in addition to causing widespread destruction. On the eve of the earthquake’s third anniversary, MINUSTAH’s staff and the families and friends of victims laid a hundred white roses on the earthquake’s memorial located on MINUSTAH grounds.
