Security Council President Briefs on DPRK Rocket Launch
Mohammed Loulichki, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the UN and President of the Security Council for December, speaks to reporters following the Council’s consultations on non-proliferation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Consultations were held in light of the DPRK’s announcement it had launched a rocket today, in violation of Council resolution 1874 (2009) which demands the country not conduct any launch using ballistic missile technology.
