Security Council Condemns Arrest of Malian Prime Minister
Mohammed Loulichki, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the UN and President of the Security Council for December, reads a statement on behalf of the Council condemning the 10 December arrest of the Prime Minister of Mali, Cheick Modibo Diarra, by members of the Malian armed forces. The arrest led to the Prime Minister’s resignation and the dismissal of the Government of Mali.
