UN Troops in Goma after M23 Withdrawal
A staff member of the UN Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO)’s Public Information team films a peacekeeper colleague atop strategic Mount Goma in eastern DR Congo. Armed rebels known as the M23 (“March 23 Movement”) occupied Goma, a city of 1 million people, for nearly two weeks before withdrawing 1 December.
