Security Council Extends Sanctions on DRC Rebels, Condemns M23
A wide view of the Security Council as Members unanimously adopt resolution 2078 (2012), extending until 1 February 2014 the arms embargo and other sanctions imposed against armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), condemning, in particular, the M23 rebel fighters, and expressing the Council’s intention to consider additional targeted sanctions against M23 leadership.
