Security Council Welcomes Israel-Hamas Ceasefire
Hardeep Singh Puri, Permanent Representative of India to the UN and President of the Security Council for November, reads a press statement on behalf of the Council welcoming the ceasefire agreement reached today between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas. The statement calls on the parties to uphold the agreement and on the international community to assist the people of Gaza, notably in the provision of fuel, medical and humanitarian assistance.
