French Representative Briefs on Security Council Resolution Concerning DRC
Gérard Araud, Permanent Representative of France to the UN, briefs journalists following the Security Council’s adoption this evening of a resolution on the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Among other points, the resolution expresses the Council’s deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the country and calls for the immediate withdrawal of the M23 rebel group from the city of Goma.
