Security Council Adopts Resolution on DRC
At this evening’s meeting, the Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2076 (2012) concerning the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The resolution expresses deep concern over the "rapidly deteriorating" humanitarian and security crisis in the country, demands the immediate withdrawal of the M23 rebel group from the city of Goma, and expresses the intention to consider additional targeted sanctions against M23 leadership.
