Assembly Calls for End to U.S. Embargo on Cuba in Annual Resolution
For the 21st straight year, the General Assembly adopted a resolution today on the necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba. An overwhelming majority of Member States voted in favour of the resolution, with 2 abstaining (Marshall Islands and Micronesia) and 3 voting against (Israel, Palau and the United States).
