Damage at UNHQ after Hurricane Sandy
In the days after Hurricane Sandy, a boat carrying engineering divers ties itself to the side of the UN Headquarters complex and goes to work on the East River as construction debris from the UN renovation floats downstream. Sandy affected a vast swath of the eastern United States, in particular the northeast and the New York metropolitan area, forcing the UN’s offices to close for three days.
