Secretary-General Celebrates Completion of "Four Freedoms Park"
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon speaks at the inauguration of the new Four Freedoms Park in New York City.
The park, dedicated to United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and named for his belief in the four essentials freedoms of speech, worship, from want and from fear, was designed by famed architect Louis Kahn and lies on a narrow stretch of land on Roosevelt Island in the East River, within sight of the UN Headquarters complex.
