Child Marriage Report Launched on “Day of Girl Child”
Babatunde Osotimehin, Executive Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), speaks at a joint press conference to launch his organization’s report, “Marrying too Young: End Child Marriage”. The release of the report comes on the first-ever International Day of the Girl Child, whose focus this year is child marriage and the practice’s deleterious effect on girls.
